Durant Students Travel three hours for Christmas Party

112 students from Northwest Heights Elementary traveled for 3 hours to experience the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.  This was a wonderful Christmas party.

Third graders gather patiently prior to entering the Garis Gallery of the American West.

Northwest Heights Elementary students gather around "Mrs. Bugby" to hear her memories of Chrismas long ago.

"Please wait for me."

"Hasn't this been fun!  Hope we can come back someday."

"Hope we go to the playground before we go home."

This long bus ride (3 hours) was made possible with assistance from the Choctaw Nation and funding to the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center from the Inasmuch Foundation, Oklahoma City.

This was the final day for the 2009 education sessions.  Our instructors provided programing to 3,755 students, making it the most popular December ever at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.
