Welcome to the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.  We hope that while you are here you will gain a better understanding of the heroic challenges faced by a group of young boys and men who, became legends.  

Known as cowboys, they were independent and driven by their love of freedom.  They faced terrible odds as they moved millions of dangerous longhorns whose sharp hooves cut deep ruts in the vast prairies of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.  However, their stories have left even deeper tracks in American history. 

Come and experience the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center and rub shoulders with one of the most fascinating subjects ever recorded in books, motion pictures and art.

The beautiful 18,000 square foot Heritage Center is situated in southwest Oklahoma astride the trail that wound through what later would become Duncan.  Mingle with the spirit of the cowboy whose tireless efforts on the Chisholm Trail resulted in the birth of America's Livestock Industry.
