Chuck Wagon

Charles Goodnight, a famous rancher in the Texas Panhandle actually started the use of a Chuck Wagon.  On a long cattle drive, the smell of strong black coffee, bacon, beans and biscuits could arouse the cowboy's appetites and keep morale up.  "Cookie", the Chuck Wagon cook, was also barber, doctor, banker and sometimes referee in case of an argument between cowboys.
