The Board of Directors of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, Duncan, OK, announces that Stacy Cramer has been named Executive Director. Marilyn Hugon, Board President, said, “Stacy brings a wealth of knowledge to the Heritage Center from her years in Community Development where she assisted many not-for-profit organizations. We are excited to have Stacy as our new Executive Director and look forward to building on the success of our previous directors.”
Stacy said, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to represent one of the premier destinations in the State of Oklahoma and our region of the US. The quality of the exhibits and staff are second to none. My goal is to further enhance the visitor experience for Stephens County residents and our travelers by offering even more variety in interacting with the Center. More than ever, we want local citizens to think of the Heritage Center as someplace to stop by to see what is new.”
Board Member, Ed Foreman, said, "Stacy Cramer brings an energy and new perspective to the Heritage Center that has not been here before. During her short time in Duncan she has already placed her mark on several organizations and events. She will be a great ambassador in the community, as well as the entire region. We welcome her with open arms."
Stacy comes to the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center with nearly fifteen years experience in community and economic development working with communities and non-profits to achieve their goals. She has assisted organizations in raising substantial sums of money while staying true to their preliminary emphasis. Stacy has worked extensively with tourism partners both locally and throughout the state. In her capacity as a small business owner and with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, Stacy has assisted both for-profit and non-profits in utilizing sound fiscal management. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa and is working on a Masters of Science in Community and Economic Development at Central Arkansas University. While in Duncan, Stacy has been involved with the Chisholm Trail Book Festival, Trail Dance Film Festival, Soulful Stories: Black Cowboys along the Chisholm Trail, and United Way.
